Junior Year

Junior Year All the rumors are true. Junior year is the hardest year. Its the year you realize that your career is just around the corner. And, the classes resemble that newfound reality.  More than likely, youll find that your extracurricular activities are more time-consuming as well. Throughout your first two years in college, youll probably hear rumblings of how difficult junior year can be. The juniors in your life may not be around to hang out as much during the infamous year. They might not have time to do the fun things that seemed regular during their first two years. Thats okay. They will be camping out at a table in the UGL or at one of the other libraries on campus, concentrating on the project or exam at hand. By the time you become a junior yourself, youll have one of two views about your upcoming year. The first view is that they were all wrong and that junior year will be a breeze. The second view is that junior year is actually way harder than anyone described, and youll need to figure out a way to make your online video game habit into a viable career since this college thing is so difficult. In reality, junior year is neither of those two scenarios. Junior year is really whatever you want it to be. With the high demands of the years coursework and activities, youll definitely need to lean in. But, that doesnt mean new and awesome things cant be achieved. Youll need to learn to adapt and see the best in every situation. Lets say you have two papers, an exam, a group project, and extracurricular responsibilities all in one week. This is the perfect time to take a step back and incorporate the fundamentals of what made you so successful at college in the first place. Whatever worked in the past will work again now. Junior year definitely does not change anything in that regard. Over time, youll find that being so busy and caught up in more difficult work actually makes you better at each thing you take on. Youll be a better writer, time management will seem easier, and youll feel sense of pride in accomplishing things that once seemed so challenging. With great challenge comes great opportunity. So, in conclusion, when you finally become a junior, dont worry about how hard its gonna be; just focus on the opportunities in front of you. Every year, you will have put in the time and effort to succeed and will do so again. Besides, your burgeoning video game career is a nice fallback. ??
